GREIBOPON G10-85
GREIBOPON G10-85 is a high-concentration degreasing agent formulated for thorough and uniform degreasing of hides, skins, and pelts in professional leather production. Based on fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers, a class of nonionic surfactants with outstanding emulsifying properties and broad pH range stability, GREIBOPON G10-85 delivers reliable and consistent degreasing performance across a wide range of raw materials and process conditions. GREIBOPON G10-85 is applied diluted according to the desired result, process requirements, and raw material characteristics.
Thorough and even degreasing is an essential prerequisite for consistent quality in all subsequent processing stages. Inadequate or uneven fat removal is a known cause of quality defects in finished leather, including fatty spues, uneven dyeing, spotty surface appearance, and physical impairment of the leather structure. GREIBOPON G10-85 is specifically formulated to eliminate these risks.
GREIBOPON G10-85 is not stable in chrome tanning floats and should not be used in these applications. It shows good stability in salt solutions of standard concentration.

Application Examples
GREIBOPON G10-85 is suitable for use across beamhouse and post-tanning operations wherever thorough and uniform degreasing of hides, skins, or pelts is required as a foundation for consistent tanning, dyeing, and finishing results.
Its highly concentrated formulation makes GREIBOPON G10-85 particularly well suited for demanding degreasing tasks on raw materials with elevated natural fat content, where lower-concentration products may not achieve the required depth and uniformity of fat removal.
GREIBOPON G10-85 is equally effective in wet blue degreasing operations, where residual natural grease must be removed from chrome-tanned intermediate products prior to retanning, fatliquoring, and dyeing, to ensure uniform chemical distribution and defect-free surface quality in the finished leather.
A better degreasing effect can be achieved by adding into soaking and liming 0.2-0.5 % GREIBOPON G10-85.
Legal Information
GREIBOPON G10-85 has a shelf life of up to one year and is not sensitive to frost. Should the product freeze, it can be fully restored by warming to 20°C and stirring to homogenise. Below 10°C the product may become turbid. This turbidity has no effect on product efficacy or performance. Store in sealed original containers, protected from extreme temperatures.
