GREIBOTAN PAR4
GREIBOTAN PAR 4 is an acrylic resin-based retanning polymer, formulated from salts of acrylic acid condensate, specifically developed for the retanning of chrome-tanned leathers. It imparts excellent physical properties to the leather by filling the interfibrillar spaces within the collagen structure, stabilising the fibre network, and improving the overall mechanical and sensory performance of the finished leather.
GREIBOTAN PAR 4 is ideally suited for soft leather articles such as upholstery and garment leathers, where a full yet soft handle, good grain elasticity, and reliable physical performance are essential requirements. The acrylic acid salt chemistry of GREIBOTAN PAR 4 ensures strong affinity to chrome-tanned leather, with its carboxylate groups reacting with the chrome centres in the collagen network, contributing to a more even and stable fibre structure throughout the hide.
In the production of shoe upper, belt, and fancy leathers, GREIBOTAN PAR 4 serves as an excellent complement to vegetable extracts and syntans. In these combinations, it improves grain elasticity and fibre strength, supporting the demanding physical requirements of footwear and leather goods production, where resistance to flexing, abrasion, and deformation are critical performance parameters.
