Greipon SWE
GREIBOPON SWE is a specialised degreasing agent specifically developed for the thorough and uniform degreasing of pelts with a high natural grease content. Inadequate or uneven degreasing of high-fat raw materials is a known cause of quality defects in finished leather, including uneven dyeing, fatty spues, and inconsistent chemical uptake in subsequent processing stages. GREIBOPON SWE is formulated to eliminate these risks by ensuring complete and even fat removal without damaging the hide structure.
In addition to its primary application on pelts, GREIBOPON SWE is ideally suited for the degreasing of wet blue hides and skins, where residual natural grease can impair retanning, fatliquoring, and dyeing results.

Application Examples
GREIBOPON SWE is the preferred degreasing solution wherever raw materials with elevated natural fat content present a particular challenge to uniform and complete grease removal.
In the processing of high-fat pelts, such as those from sheep, goat, or swine, GREIBOPON SWE ensures thorough penetration and emulsification of natural fats throughout the hide structure, providing the clean, grease-free substrate required for consistent tanning, dyeing, and finishing results.
In wet blue processing, GREIBOPON SWE effectively removes residual grease from chrome-tanned intermediate products, supporting uniform retanning agent distribution, even fatliquoring, and defect-free dyeing across the full surface of the leather.
An even better degreasing effect can be achieved by adding into soaking and liming 0.2 – 0.5 % GREIBOPON SWE. GREIBOPON SWE is applied undiluted.

Legal Information
GREIBOPON SWE has a shelf life of up to one year and is not sensitive to frost. Should the product freeze, it can be fully restored by warming to 20°C and stirring to homogenise. Below 10°C the product may become turbid. This turbidity has no effect on product efficacy or performance. Store in sealed original containers, protected from extreme temperatures.
